Medicine Law

Corporate and contract law

We advise a wide range of clients on questions of medicine law and the law of health care. A major focus of our practice is issues of contractual and corporate law. To this field we bring extensive and broad ranging experience in the legal structuring and reorganization of service providers (clinics, medical practices, pharmacies) as well as cooperation issues in health care, with particular regard to the new models of preventative medical care centres and the - at times multi-location - shared practices. In this activity we benefit from our acknowledged high level of expertise in the corporate law field, without however neglecting the vocational and social law fields. In addition our advisory work covers questions of company succession (e.g. the transfer and takeover of practices), whereby we provide advice on legal aspects of corporate law, the law of succession and taxation law.

Pharmaceuticals and medical product law

In the field of pharmaceuticals and medical product law we provide ongoing support for producers, wholesalers and retailers as well as pharmacists in questions of official approval on all relevant aspects of sales including the related issues of social law and pharmacy law. Equally we advise German and international pharmaceutical companies on their entry into the German pharmaceutical market as well as on questions of company structure.

Compensation issues

In the field of compensation for medical services, we represent our clients in social and all private law matters of invoicing for services, besides having extensive experience in questions of the fundamental structuring/legality of medical compensation systems. In addition we support our clients in any disciplinary or penal law proceedings which may frequently arise from compensation disputes.
